Packing tips

Food: Run down food supplies as much as possible to save on your packing and lifting.

Garage/Sheds: Bundle tools and bind together. Drain petrol from mowers and strimmers. Avoid packing paint etc., but if essential, pack unpright and ensure the lid is secure.

Loft: Clear well in advance and de-clutter as much as possible. If cartons are in a reasonable condition and a reasonable size there will be no need to repack them.

Gardens Posts/Bins: Try to collate them in one area (do not attempt to move if heavy). If there are no plants in them, remove the soil.
Empty, clean and re-use bins to fill with small pots and garden tools.

Ensure all cartons are taped at the base.

Plates, bowls etc. should be wrapped in paper 3 or 4 at a time and placed on their ends.
Soft furnishings, towls, jumpers, pillows etc. can be used to line the base of the cartons to assist in protecting your fragile effects.

Mark your cartons and linen bags clearly with the name of the room you wish it to be left in. We also advise you to list the contents.

Pictures/mirrors that are small enough to fit into boxes should be wrapped in the white paper provided and packed face to face or back to back. Large pictures and mirrors should be left on the walls.

Providing all fragile items have been removed from the drawers of sideboards, dressing tables and bedside tables, they may remain full.

Bedding from a single or double devan can be loaded into the drawers and the duvets packet into linen bags to prevent you searching for them later.

If you run out of cartons call the number on the left to advise us of the size and quantity you require.

When packing/unpacking take your time and don't try to do too much in one day.

Most importantly don't leave it until the last minute!

Whatever your needs we are here to help your removal go smoothly and efficiently.
